Concordia D/CART End of Year Show

(Print, Exhibition Catalogue, Experimental)

Year: 2021
Specifications: 5.5" x 8.5"

The Design and Computation Arts department of Concordia University organizes an exhibition of student works each year. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this exhibition took place online. In response to the pandemic, the design of this catalog brings the exhibition into the participant's home by allowing them to place artworks within their personal spaces in dynamic arrangements, mimicking the traditional in-person exhbition space which these events typically have.

The format of the deck allows for reshuffling, creating unique reading orders, and allows for the book to be dispersed and shared. Each card features an image of an artwork, with the reverse side containing bilingual descriptions of the artwork and the artist’s personal information.

A custom box was designed to hold the contents: 42 double-sided artwork cards and a booklet containing a message from the program chair, a repertoire of the artowrks and biogrpahies of the artsits involved.
