This digital book, a presentation of my thesis, begins with a manifesto declaring the book to be an undead cyborg, using digital metaphors to re-examine how the book exists and functions today within an increasingly technological world.








It briefly examines the origin of writing, the binary function of language, language interpretation and its use as code, the book as hardware and software, the power of archives and the cloud, the obsolescence of certain communicative technologies, and features 3 related manifestoes by Donna Haraway, Bruce Sterling and +++The Mentor+++.
